Goldfish

Fish are aquatic vertebrates. They usually have gills, paired fins, a long body covered with scales, and tend to be cold-blooded.

You can tell how old a goldfish is by its scales. For every year of a goldfish’s life, the fish develops a ring on its scales. Just count the number of rings (like you would on a tree stump) to determine the fish’s age. However, you’ll need a microscope to see them.

Northern Leopard Frog

Frogs are amphibians, which means they live on water and land. When they are born, they will start their life in the water, and after they grow up, they live primarily on land.

Nearly all of these frogs have dark oval spots that resemble a leopard which is how it gets its name.
A group of frogs is called an army.

Common Snapping Turtle

Turtles are reptiles, which means they are cold blooded and have rough scales. These turtles have two dark eyes and a mouth shaped like a hooked beak, along with four legs and webbed feet. Each foot of these turtles features five strong claws. The skin of this turtle is covered in rough bumps. Unlike other turtles, a common snapping turtle is not able to fit its whole body into its shell.
